Representation Essay

The groups tha are being represented to us are age, some of the maids are very old but there are a few maids at which they are young, the young maids can represent us because the little maids are always getting told what to do and that its upto the most highest of quality or we willl ge punished. And we are alwats meant to address someone by saying Mrs just like the little maid says it to that old maid in the kitchen.

CAMERA
The establishing shot of the castle already shows the audience that this is going to be a posh and well manored scripted play. The short cuts for each shot shows us that the little maid is in a hurry to light up those ground fires. The shot where the maid in the black has her keys hanging walking towards the a room, shows us tha he is the main maid bcause she holds all the keys to the house and then when she walks into the room she says the the other maids "i want the dining room giving a propper going over today" also implies that he is the main maid and she is the reason why the Castle looks really nice and not broken down. There are also a lot of close-up shots that show the emotions of the characters and how they are feeling.

MISE-EN-SCENE
There are a lot of props and costumes that are used in downtown abby. The robes that the maid are wearing are all the same by having the same colour as dark blue-ish purple with white strapes, which can be confusing for the audience, but the little maids have got a type of light pink robe that they wear to stand out and to show the audience thnat all the other maids can just boss then around, The maids that  are wearing black robes with a little bit of white on the colar, this shows the audience that they are the main maids that make sure everything is clean and looking good, and they can tell everyone what to do and where to be.

SOUND
The sound that is used in the extract is mainly dialouge of the characters talking but there are sounds of background that gives a sense of royalty and poshness because of the delicate way the instruments are played and you would normally hear it in a posh surrounding. The way that one girl pulls a string and that makes the bell go off to show the maids that she wants assistance.

EDITING
There arent a lot of editing used in the extract but there are quick cut shots that show us that all the maids and butlers are in a rush to get everything ready and upto standards before the Lord comes down for breakfast.
